Software Engineer

We are seeking highly-skilled software engineers to join our dynamic startup team based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Our company is focused on developing innovative services that tackle global food security using advanced analytics. Successful candidates will have a strong background in developing production systems, ideally in the context of geospatial or remote sensing data. They will be responsible for developing and implementing the systems backing our advanced artificial intelligence models and delivering the results to our customers.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain our software applications that provide actionable insights to farmers, governments, and other players in the agriculture space
Develop and implement scalable and efficient processing pipelines that integrate machine learning algorithms and satellite data
Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality code and efficient performance.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in technology and contribute to the continuous improvement of our products.

Requirements

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field
3+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on backend development and experience in Python.
Experience with data processing and analysis, machine learning, and cloud technologies such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
Knowledge of database design, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

Experience in frontend development
Familiarity with geospatial data processing and analysis.
Experience in DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
